Being overweight or obese doesn't just mean you don't look good on the beach. It's not just about fitting into that dress, or being able to play ball with your son. There are real health risks that can effect both the quality and length of your life. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention "Research has shown that as weight increases...the risks for the following conditions also increases:"
- Coronary heart disease
- Type 2 diabetes
- Cancers (endometrial, breast, and colon)
- Hypertension (high blood pressure)
- Dyslipidemia (for example, high total cholesterol or high levels of triglycerides)
- Liver and Gallbladder disease
- Sleep apnea and respiratory problems
- Osteoarthritis (a degeneration of cartilage and its underlying bone within a joint)
- Gynecological problems (abnormal menses, infertility)
Maybe you know all this! Maybe you feel like you can't control your own outcome. Well it's not as hard as you might think. Even though there is NO EASY WAY it is not only possible to take control of your own health, it's a profoundly empowering experience. We know because we've been there.

Because there is no easy way. But, that does not mean that getting healthy and fit can't be fun. We believe one of the major problems in the fitness and health industry is the 'quick fix' mentality. How can something life altering and life affirming be as easy as a 2 week diet, or taking a pill?
At N.E.W You we DO NOT attempt to profit or capitalize on false advertising and unhealthy 'quick fix' solutions. These easy way gimmicks simply lead to bad outcomes and unhappy clients. We want you to succeed in your goals in a healthy and productive way.
Many of us spend years eating unhealthy diets and living sedentary lifestyles. This often results in damage to our bodies that requires correction. Our minds also suffer as the effects of bad habits become ingrained. Our philosophy at N.E.W is a back to basics approach. We start with strength and balance to build a solid foundation for your progress.
It's important to have a solid foundation to prevent injury and encourage participation. We believe in manageable yet challenging goals and building on the success gained from attaining them. There is No Easy Way, but we believe no program succeeds unless it's fun!
